Topo Designs // Why Bags Matter

A good bag is a game changer. If you're like me, then you don't always want to carry your camera gear and laptop in a backpack, it just gets old. I got tired of meeting with clients looking like I just got off the school bus. I'm in my mid 30's and decided it's time to up my game by presenting myself in a manner that's worthy of a new clients business.

So why the Topo Designs Commuter Briefcase?

I mean, why not? I was born in the great city of Denver where Topo is based so, there's that; but more importantly this bag killz. I debated between the Mountain and the Commuter Briefcase, but decided that the additional $20 for the extra amenities was well worth it (Editors Note: in Ballistic Black).

Loves:

BLACK!!! I love black. It would be kinda rad to have red zipper tabs, but that's easily changeable. The briefcase fits the Topo Camera Cube which is a HUGE plus. (Side Note: Topo's Camera Cube is the best I've found online so far. It will easily hold my Canon 5D Mark IV with 35mm lens as well as one additional lens or small camera. I currently have it set up with the Mark IV / 35mm lens and Canon Canonet 28. Perfect digi/film combo!!)

Back on topic... all the above fits great and it will easily hold my 15" Macbook Pro. I love the leather handles and base. The handles feel really good in hand when carrying into your favorite coffee shop or toting too and from the office.

Meh:

I'm not sure why Topo decided to keep backpack straps on this. Although they are stowable, it's a briefcase, it should just be a briefcase. The straps don't get in the way at all, but I just image what it would be like to have that extra storage space for things needed other than useless (to me that is) backpack straps.

Conclusion:

I love it! You'll love it too. If the briefcase design isn't for you but you do want a new bag that will hold your camera gear that doesn't look like a bag that will hold your camera gear... check out other rad products from Topo Designs and fit it with their Camera Cube. Promise it's worth it.
